| Description: This is an applications-oriented course for professionals in career settings that require a ucomprehension of research methods from the perspective of the consumer rather than the producer of research. Focus is on accessing, interpreting, and applying research findings. Basic statistical procedures are included. |
| Delivery: 100% Online. Course can be taken from any computer anywhere in the world. There are no scheduled meeting times. Course will include at least two (2) scheduled real-time online meetings |

| Computer Req: You must be able to: access the Internet; use a web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer load, work in, and save a Word file; receive, read, compose, and send e-mail. You must have: PC or Macintosh computer, Internet connection, Graphics card, Sound Card, Web camera, Head-set, Windows 95 or later (or Macintosh equivalent), Microsoft Word 6.0 or later, Netscape 4.0, or later, or Internet, Explorer 5.0+ or equivalent (free online), Adobe Acrobat Reader (free online), Any current anti-virus program (free at Virginia Tech web site) |
